Data We Collect
NumeSight collects the following types of data:
- Account information: Name, email address, and profile details you provide during registration
- Financial data: Account balances, transaction history, and investment holdings from your linked financial institutions
- Usage data: Feature usage, preferences, and settings within the application
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the NumeSight service:
- Generating financial insights, recommendations, and reports
- Powering budgets, bill tracking, and savings goals
- Sending service-related notifications and alerts
- Improving the quality and accuracy of our financial analysis
🔐 We never sell your data
NumeSight does not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Security Measures
- Read-only access: NumeSight can view your financial data but can never move money or initiate transactions
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (Fernet symmetric encryption for sensitive tokens)
- Secure providers: We connect through industry-standard financial data providers (Plaid, MX) — the same technology used by Venmo, Cash App, and thousands of other financial apps
- No credential storage: Your bank login credentials are never stored on our servers
- Session security: Server-side sessions with secure, HTTP-only cookies
Data Deletion
You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Profile page. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
Third-Party Services
NumeSight integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:
- Plaid / MX: Secure financial data aggregation
- Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions
- Google: OAuth authentication (optional)
